Voice interview practice
Voice mock interview practice for your next round
Voice interview practice lets you work on the moment a polished note turns into a spoken answer. Openskill runs a live conversation with an AI interviewer, captions, question progress, and room to finish a longer answer.
Your first mock interview is free.
Practice with context
Use your voice before the interview room does.
Pick a voice, check your microphone in the green room, then choose Practice or Grill before starting the interview.
Practice the turn-taking
The live session includes a voice sphere that shows who is speaking, karaoke-style captions, and progress dots for main questions and follow-ups. You can interrupt the interviewer naturally, and short acknowledgements do not cut it off.
Keep control of a longer answer
Turn on let me finish mode when you need more space for a multi-part response. The interviewer holds its response through natural pauses until you turn the mode off.
Hear your answer again
The feedback report includes the recording and chapter markers. Jump to a question, listen for where the answer wandered, and use the scoring notes to decide what to change.
A sample question
A spoken answer needs room to breathe.
Walk me through a time you had to persuade someone who disagreed with you.
This is the kind of opening prompt you can practice in a live session.
What to cover
State the disagreement, the evidence you brought, how you adapted your approach, and what happened after the discussion.
- Enter the green room
Check your microphone, choose a voice, and select the session mode.
- Complete a live conversation
Answer aloud and respond when the interviewer asks for more detail.
- Use the recording
Review the report, replay the question, and plan the next practice session.
Questions
Questions about voice mock interviews.
What is a voice mock interview?
It is a practice interview you complete by speaking rather than typing. Openskill uses a real-time AI interviewer with live captions and a feedback report after the session.
How does practice interview AI work in a voice session?
You choose or create an interview, answer aloud, and receive follow-up questions during the session. Eligible sessions end with a scored report and a recording you can replay.
What happens after a mock interview?
Sessions longer than three minutes receive a scored feedback report. It includes strengths, areas to improve, communication signals, a recording with chapter markers, and question-by-question feedback when the format uses questions and answers.
Can I practice for a role from a job description?
Yes. Paste a job description, a job posting URL, or a plain-language description into Openskill. You can review the generated interview before you begin, and custom interviews stay in your library for another attempt.
